Working Process Surface Preparation :
Anti-skid DURA SKID- ROAD can be applied to any clean, dry surface. Recommended methods of cleaning are as follows ;

Concrete :
Remove all paint films, and un-bonded particles, preferably by sand blasting. Remove oil, grease, dirt, wax, or other contaminants by dissolving with a water based cleaner/degreaser. Then flush thoroughly with clean water and allow to dry. Smooth or glazed surfaces should be roughened. New concrete should cure for at least 30 days prior to coating. Prime prepared surface with Anti-skid Primer/Sealer Product No. 96171 then coat with Vehicular Grade.

Metal :
Remove all paint, rust and mill scale, preferably by sand blasting. Remove all oil, grease, dirt, wax, or other contaminants by dissolving with a cleaner/degreaser. Then flush thoroughly with clean water and allow to dry. Prime prepared surface with Anti-skid Metal Primer Product No. 96151 then coat with Vehicular Grade.

Mixing :
• Pre-mix base component mechanically using a mixing instrument. Make sure all settlement is lifted off the bottom of the
container and the material assumes a uniform appearance.
• Pour entire contents of hardener can into base container. Thoroughly mix (using same mixer blade), scraping material from the
sides and bottom of the can, for approximately 3¡5 minutes, until hardener is uniformly dispersed throughout material.

Application :
Anti-skid DURA SKID - ROAD can be applied at surface temperatures between 50¡130¢µ/10¡54¡É. Application is not recommended when surface temperature is above or below these temperatures. Anti-skid Vehicular Grade can be applied by roller or trowel.

Roller :
Provides superior anti-skid characteristics with an irregular, ridged profile.
• Use a phenolic roller DURACHEMIE Product No. 96181. It is important that the rolled profile expose the maximum amount of anti-skid aggregate. If aggregate is not properly exposed, the coating may become slippery when wet.
• Pour a "ribbon" of material on the surface approximately 2'x6" (60§¯x15§¯). Roll material toward you with a moderate amount
of pressure. Do not over-roll too many times or press down too heavily. Be careful that material does not build up too thickly
along welds (roll across welds not along them). Material applied too thickly may not properly cure.
• Higher temperatures will shorten drying time and conversely, lower temperatures and high relative humidity will lengthen drying
time. Exterior applications must be protected from rain for at least 12 to 24 hours after application. Protect from heavy or
extended exposure to water, oil and chemicals for 5 to 7 days during final cure.

Trowel : Provides excellent anti-skid characteristics with a rough, textured surface.
• Use a flexible bladed plasterer's finishing trowel approximately 4"x12" (10§¯x30§¯). Use smooth edges not notched.
• Pour a "ribbon" of material on the surface approximately 2'x6" (60§¯x15§¯)
• Hold trowel at 45¡Æangle to surface and spread with sweeping motion. Reverse angle of trowel for opposite stroke. Pull material
toward you. To cover corners, pull straight strokes using material on the trowel. Trowel across welds to avoid too thick an
application.

Surface Maintenance :
Maintain a clean surface to ensure that the anti-skid safety performance is maximized. We recommend the following cleaning
procedure :
• Apply an all purpose, biodegradable cleaner /degreaser.
• Scrub surface with a long-handled, fiber bristled brush or floor machine.
• Rinse with clean water and dry. Foreign matter, such as chewing gum, should be removed with a scraper or putty knife and, then
the surface should be cleaned following above procedure.
• Although this non-slip coating is extremely durable, it is not permanent and will require occasional touch up, especially in heavy
traffic areas. This material can be re-applied over itself. To re-apply, follow instructions above for surface preparation, mixing,
and application

Safe handling procedures :
DANGER - Flammable. Skin and eye irritant. Potential skin sensitizer. Inhalation of vapors may cause respiratory irritation or intoxication. Repeated or prolonged overexposure may cause injury to the kidneys, liver, central nervous system, or red blood cells. Harmful if swallowed. Prevent contact with skin and eyes. Prevent inhalation of vapors.
DO NOT take internally.
Seek medical attention for all overexposures. Review Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) prior to use.

Application Anti-skid finish for concrete and steel ramps, walkway, locker rooms, loading docks, marine applications, machine rooms, assembly
areas, and stairs where an extremely durable anti-skid coating is required.

*Dry time is affected by temperature and thickness of application. Temperatures under 50¢µ/10¡É will result in a substantially longer cure time. Temperatures over 80¢µ/27¡É will result in shorter cure time. The thicker the application, the longer the cure time.
